actor Diganth Manchale
's day. After being summoned a week ago by
the Central Crime Branch
, along with wife Aindrita Ray, he was called yet again for a second round of questioning. The actor was on the set of his
film Marigold
, and headed to the CCB office around 11 am for interrogation, which went on for three hours.
Talking about the investigation,
Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, told Bangalore Times, "We had called him because we found some discrepancies between his statements and what unfolded in our investigations. We wanted to clarify these matters." The investigating official remained non-committal about whether Diganth would be called again.
Meanwhile, addressing the media after his latest stint at the CCB, Diganth said, "There is a lot of speculation going on, but that’s not what this is about. There are investigations going on and I was here as part of it. If I am needed for further interrogation, I will cooperate with the police."
Meanwhile, a source from the Marigold film set tells us, "Diganth was shooting for the film when he got the call and left immediately. After the inquiry, he came straight back to the set. He took some time as a breather, had lunch and then resumed shooting for the day."
