Sandalwood actress Sanjjanaa Galrani
, arrested on alleged drug peddling charges, has been granted
bail
on
health grounds
. The Karnataka High Court on Friday granted the conditional bail to the actress, currently lodged in the judicial custody of Central prison in
Parappana Agrahara
. She was arrested on September 9 by
CCB
police and walked into the judicial custody on September 16. Her bail pleas were twice rejected by the trial court as well as High Court earlier. Now, her counsel had argued that she faces different health issues. High Court had sought a detailed medical examination report from doctors of Vani Vilas hospital, where Sanjjanaa underwent tests on Tuesday and Wednesday. The medical reports had pointed out the need for medication and the surgery for the actress.

Sanjjanaa was arrested along with 13 others in a case that also had fellow actress
Ragini Dwivedi as an accused. Sanjjanaa, who spent nearly three months in central jail, also ended up spending her birthday, along with Dasara and Deepavali there. Sanjjanaa was arrested after being accused under various sections of the NDPS Act for allegedly procuring, distributing and consuming banned substances. The actress, it has been reported, has been spending most of her time in jail at the library and interacting with the inmates who have been curious about her life as an actress.
Sanjjanaa, prior to her arrest, had participated in a Hindi reality show titled
Mujhse Shaadi Korege
, where she played a prospective bride to reality television star
