The

ongoing drug racket

with

Sandalwood links

has seen many people from showbiz and nightlife industry being arrested. Among those was businessman

Sri, incidentally, used to host a lot of parties in his residence, which had many people from Bengaluru's party circuit, including film stars, attending it, the police have said. Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (crime), who confirmed the arrest of Sri also said that one of the actors in custody had visited his flat three to four times in the last few months. According to CCB sources, the actor in question is Ragini Dwivedi.

Police sources also suggest that television hosts and actors

Akul Balaji

and

Aryann Santosh

also spoke about Sri hosting parties and his role in this racket. Police sources have also stated that Sri apparently said that the drugs seized from his residence were allegedly for his own consumption. But, the police have said that they will continue to probe this arrest and seizing further along with Sri's links with the people arrested based on the FIR registered.

A big reason for this is Ragini's close associate

Ravishankar

, who has apparently given a statement that says that Sri owned weekend homes on the outskirts of the city, where Sri along with

Vybhav Jain

, hosted parties that allegedly saw drugs being consumed there. He also stated that Ragini knew both Sri and his wife.
