Kannada

film industry has always been inclusive when it comes to both actors and technicians. Even in terms of music, there have been some top composers from other South Indian industries who have given fans timeless soundtracks.They include the maestro Ilaiyaraaja, MM Keeravani and Deva. The latest entrant in Sandalwood is

Bollywood

composer Ismail Darbar, whose debut film as composer ' Santheyalli Ninta Kabeera ' releases this month. Here's taking a look at some of the musicians from other industries who are making a mark in Sandalwood...

Ismail Darbar
The celebrated Bollywood composer of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam fame has composed the music for Santheyalli Ninta Kabeera. Given that this film is about the mystic saint Kabir, Ismail's sufi influence has helped the soundtrack.

Vijay Antony
The musician-turned-actor had first composed music for Buddhivanta in Sandalwood, which was a remake of Naan Avanillai, for which he had scored originally. His music will next be heard in the upcoming Kannada film Asthithva.

D Imman


The Tamil composer has given tunes for Rudratandava, the remake of Pandiya Naadu, and Anjada Gandu, the remake of Manam Kothi Paravai. He has also composed the soundtrack for an upcoming Kannada-Tamil bilingual.

SS Thaman


The celebrated Telugu-Tamil composer scored music for Power ***, the remake of Dookudu, and has also been a part of this year's big releases Chakravyuha and Zoom.

Anup Rubens
The Telugu composer has lent his music to Khushi Khushiyaagi, the remake of Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, and Ramleela, the remake of Loukyam, both of which he had given the original scores to.

Yuvan Shankar Raja
He has given been credited as the composer for five Kannada films ' Jolly Boy, Ajith, Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu, Madana and Gilli ' all of which feature songs that he had scored for the Tamil originals.

Maharashtrian composers Ajay-Atul of

Agneepath

fame are currently in talks with filmmaker S Narayan for the Sairat remake, say sources. Though, we hear that the talks are still in a nascent stage and they are currently working out modalities.
