Sanjjanaa Galrani gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday morning. The actress's gynecologist, Dr.
K Shilpi Reddy
, shared the news on her
Instagram feed. She took to her account, to share a picture of Sanjjanaa and wrote, 'Congratulations...It's a boy!'
According to reports, both the mother and son are doing fine.
Sanjjanaa Galrani has been documenting every stage of her pregnancy online. Recently, the actress had shared glimpses from her traditional baby shower hosted by her husband
Dr Azeez Pasha
's family. She had said, "We had previously had a Hindu-style baby shower, with a Mangalurean food spread. This time around, it was a Muslim-style baby shower and we went ahead with it, even though I am well into my ninth month of pregnancy."
In her pregnancy note, she had written extensively about her journey to motherhood. She had shared, "At 35, when
COVID changed our lives and I went through a sabbatical, I decided it was high time to start a family. Embracing parenthood meant putting my career, body, fitness regimen, physical appearance and life itself on the backburner… and, of course, this takes a toll. Having put on 18 kg, I suffer from acute lower back pain."
"As I enter the final month of my
pregnancy, I am enjoying the best of both worlds – born a Hindu and married to a Muslim, we celebrated my baby shower with lots of obattu and Mangalore-style yummy ghee roast seafood - my favourite cuisine in South Indian style. And now, we are preparing for a grand mutton biryani party in my husband’s traditional Muslim style soon after
Ramzan."
