Sapthami Gowda on signing Kannada films ahead of her Bollywood debut: They are first priority

The phenomenal success of 'Kantara' has opened the door of opportunities for actress Sapthami Gowda, who is currently shooting for her Bollywood debut with 'The Kashmir Files' director Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War' in Hyderabad but the actress in a recent interview revealed that Kannada films are her priority. Sapthami clearly stated that she is open to working on any project which appeals to her but she is making sure to give her priority to the Kannada film. Meanwhile, Sapthami Gowda has signed on 'Kaali' opposite Abishek Ambareesh.Thanks to 'Kantara' which was watched by director Vivek Agnihotri and immediately contacted Rishab Shetty, explaining to him that Sapthami will be apt for the role in 'The Vaccine War'. Vivek got in touch with Sapthami offering her the role and briefing everything about the role and sending her the script too. Later Sapthami gave her nod and got on board for the project. That's how her Bollywood debut happened.Just like 'The Kashmir Files', Sapthami shared that there are no lead characters in 'The Vaccine War'. When asked how she handled the language barrier, Sapthami is thankful to Vivek Agnihotri for helping to get her lines and the Hindi accent right. Sapthami was given the freedom to say her lines in Kannada or English but she was given the brief that more than the dialogues it is her eyes that have to convey the sentiments and emotions through her character in the film. So picking this cue, Sapthami is working hard to give her best in her Hindi debut.Also Read:
