The team on its social media page today announced that they are releasing the movie simultaneously in
Telugu
and Kannada. The movie sees
Ajai Rao and
Sanjana Anand sharing screen space for the first time. The project, which is set against a rural backdrop, has love and all the commercial elements.
The makers are keen to release the movie in June, despite cinema halls continuing to operate at 50 per cent of occupancy. A final decision will be taken assessing the prevailing condition due to COVID-19. Interestingly, Shokiwala is Ajay Rao’s second film to be released in Telugu after Krishnan Love Story.
According to reports, the Telugu dubbing work of the film is currently in progress in Chennai. Sridhar V Sambhram has composed the music and Prashanth Rajappa has penned the dialogues for the movie. The project also has
Tabla Nani,
Sharath Lohitashwa, Lasya Nagaraj, Giri Shivanna, Aruna Balraj and
Pramod Shetty in significant roles.
Meanwhile, Ajai Rao’s previous release,
Krishna Talkies
, which got released last week across
Karnataka, continues to get good response from viewers.
