— the actor has piled on 15 kgs to convincingly look the part of a 35-year-old government employee.

“My character,

Naidu

, is a man in the 1970s, who is around 35 years old, is married, has a child, and is a central government employee. Hemanth had a certain look in mind for my character, and having a pot belly was part of that vision. To look the part, I stopped working out and have been consuming generous quantities of food during each meal. As a result, I have gone from 77 kgs to 92 kgs in four months,” says Sidhartha, who will maintain the weight till the end of the month.

So, what is the reaction that his weight gain has elicited from those around him? “I am not getting work elsewhere due to the weight gain, and I am getting scolded at home by my parents, who don’t seem to understand why I would do this,” says Sidhartha, laughing.
