On March 8, 2013, a young
Sunil Kumar made his cinematic debut with Simple Aagondu Love Story (SOLS) starring then-new faces Rakshit Shetty and Shweta Srivatsav. The film went on to become a blockbuster and set a new trend in filmmaking. Today, SOLS completes a decade since its release, thus prompting director
Suni — usually known for his witty lines on social media — to pen a solemn message for fans.
"It's been a decade for today since we wrote "In theaters from today." Thanks to the producers, technicians, artists, and audiences who treated us like their own. My heartfelt thanks to you all." The success of the film even earned Suni the moniker Simple, and he’s even today fondly known as Simple Suni in the industry. The music of Simple Aagondu Love Story also became a rage and was composed by Bharath BJ.
Meanwhile, Rakshit Shetty also shared a note on the occasion and reminisced about how the movie impacted everyone involved with the film. "Ten years ago, Simple Suni cracked something that changed many lives. Thanks, Suni and team SOLS. Forever grateful."
Simple Suni is currently shooting his latest flick with
Vinay Rajkumar and Swathishta, while Rakshit is wrapping up the final portions of Saptha Saagaradache Ello, directed by Hemanth Rao.
