Speaking about how they came up with the locations, Rajesh says, “When we sent the tune of

Kanasina Kitakiya

(sung by Sonu Nigam) to lyricist

Jayant Kaikini

, he took nearly two months to write the lyrics because he said that the tune was so good that he needed to come up with words that did justice to it. When it was time to shoot the song, we knew that the picturization had to be as good as the song. Which is why we picked these locations.”


In a single schedule that spanned nine days, the team shot three songs — Kanasina Kitakiya (Rajesh and Kavitha Gowda), Lipiyaythu Lippalli (Rajesh and Sneha Nair) and

Preethige Hindilla Mundilla

(Huccha Venkat). While the two leading ladies and Huccha Venkat got a good amount of break between shoots, it was a long nine days for Rajesh, since he features in all the songs. “I got no rest at all. We used to shoot till 2 am and begin again at
5.30 am the next day. It was horrible. I was new to the film world, so I had to understand the movements and technicalities as well, which was hard for me. Choreographers Madan-Harini were tough taskmasters, but once I saw the shots, it was all worth it,” says Rajesh.
