South Bengaluru BJP head demands Steel flyover to be named after Puneeth Rajkumar

Even after his demise, the legacy of Puneeth Rajkumar remains peerless. To honor Puneeth Rajkumar, the government named the Nayandahalli 100 ft road in Puneeth's name. In the same way, many places in Karnataka have named the roads in the name of Puneeth. Now, according to the latest reports, in Bengaluru Shivananda Circle, the newly constructed Steel Bridge flyover is in the process of being named after Puneeth. The request is being submitted to BBMP by South Bengaluru BJP Head NR Ramesh.

Around Shivanand Circle, the head office of Karnataka Film Chamber is situated. For the construction of the road and the flyover, the Film Chamber even sacrificed their part of the land too. Opposite the Film Chamber, there's Dr. Rajkumar's memorial is kept. So since Rajkumar's family is considered a Kannada cinema family, naming the newly constructed Steel Bridge in Puneeth's name will be the right tribute is the argument of NR Ramesh.

So it is now keenly awaited to see what decision the government and the BBMP will take on naming the Steel Bridge Flyover and resolve this naming issue. Or else it will again lead to controversies and facing agitation from Puneeth fans.
