Sowcar Janaki makes her Sandalwood comeback at 81

At the age of 81, veteran actress Sowcar Janaki is all geared up to make her comeback in Sandalwood. It has been a while since the octogenarian actress signed any Kannada movie. But, now when she is making her comeback, she is all excited.
Reports say the veteran actress has signed the Kannada film Pungi Daasa starring Komal Kumar and Asma in lead roles. In fact the role came to Janaki, while she was shopping at a popular destination in Bangalore recently.
“I am thankful to get a role at the age of 81. I was under the impression that my film career is over. It’s a pleasure to get role at this age also,” says Janaki, who has acted in more than 385 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
The actress, who has made Bangalore her home, says, “She is happy with both her personal and professional life. I may not have made humongous sum of money through acting, but I have enough to lead a stress free life.”
