In a recent interview with BT, television actor

Sri Ram

(

Radha Ramana Magalu Janaki

and

fame), had expressed a desire to play villain roles in Kannada films. That has come true, as the actor has got the opportunity to play a negative role in JK’s upcoming flick

Kaada

. “I’m elated because I wanted a break from playing boy-next-door roles on TV. Also, I underwent a major makeover recently, including getting a six-pack and that has helped me immensely in getting into the skin of this character,” shares Sri Ram.

The team is currently in Belur, shooting at an estate where Rishab Shetty’s Hero was filmed. “I’m part of a gang of four that has Ugramm Manju and I leading it; while Manju is the go-getting sorts, I’m the one who plans all our moves. The first half of the story unravels in Bengaluru and charts our journey as a gang. The second half is set completely in Belur and witnesses how one of our best-laid plans goes kaput and what happens after that,” says Sri Ram.
The actor states that he’s thoroughly enjoying his stint and director

Vishrut Nayak

has given him a terrific role. “I want to do more such negative roles and be seen opposite the biggest stars. I wonder why our filmmakers cast people from Mumbai in negative-shaded roles when there are so many like me awaiting such opportunities,” he sums up.
