Stunt director Ravi Varma to play antagonist in Rowdy Fellow

Stunt director Ravi Varma will be seen in the role of a villain, in the RJ Rohith starrer Rowdy Fellow. The project marks the debut of RJ Rohith as a director in Sandalwood. He was last seen in the movie Buckusara. The first look poster of the movie was released on June 19 on Rohit’s birthday. The script is mentored by KGF director, Prashanth Neel.
Being a stunt director, Ravi Varma has played cameos in many movies.According to a report, the film will see Ravi Varma play the role of a full fledged villain who is aurally challenged. Ravi Varma even made his debut as a director with the movie Rustum which has Shivarajkumar and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles. The project saw Shivarajkumar playing the role of a cop. Ravi, who has taken a break, has also finalized a couple of scripts for direction during the lockdown period. He has also choreographed stunts for Bollywood, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil films.
Ravi Varma agreed to play the role after Rohit expressed confidence in his acting abilities and the character was sketched in such a way that Ravi would suit the character. The film, which has Vidya Pradeep in the female lead, is her second outing in Sandalwood after Bangara S/0 Bangarada Manushya. Rowdy Fellow which is produced by Swarnalatha productions sees Urvashi in a pivotal role.
