Sulile Kumar, who has over half a dozen Tamil films to his credit, is elated as he's just signed his second Kannada film. The actor will team up with director Shivarudraiah again for this as-yet-untitled project. Their first collaboration, Marikondavaru, ended up bagging the Karnataka State Film Award for Second Best Film this year. Sulile played author Devanuru Mahadeva in this film.
'I felt extremely comfortable working with Shivarudraiah in Marikondavaru. He had given me an extremely challenging character and I enjoyed that. This time around, too, he has offered me a film that requires me to play an equally challenging character. This is why I chose to do the film,' says Sulile.

The actor says that he is excited that both the roles offered to him so far in
Sandalwood have been different and exciting. 'For me, the fact that the film is Tamil or Kannada is irrelevant ' all that matters is a good character. I've been fortunate that Shivarudraiah has given me good, unique roles,' says Sulile, who is also working on a Tamil film titled Tik Tik, which stars Nayanthara in the lead role.
