Actor turned politician Sumalatha Ambareesh has paid her tributes to legendary K Vishwanath who has passed with an emotional note which she has shared on her social media page along with throwback picture.
She wrote, “ Vishwanath garu. I am totally heart broken legendary director , a great human being , someone who put Telugu movies on the national map with his epic #shankarabharanam , and for me...he gave me my 1st identity in Telugu movies with #Shubhalekha #sruthilayalu #jananijanmabhoomi #Swayamkrushi ,all wonderful movies much ahead of their times..with each movie he challenged my capabilities as an actor , moulded me and encouraged me to better myself. Taught me the ABCD of enunciation and modulation..
He was my tutore, my idol and someone who represented the simple beauty of Telugu culture. I can go on and on..he will live through his works of art..the music in his movies..his love for our classical dance forms..the strong messages he conveyed through gentle humor and powerful visuals. This is a void which can never ever be filled. I stand with the millions of fans and his loving family in mourning and praying for his departed soul.”
Vishwanath died on Thursday in Hyderabad at the age of 92. He was suffering from age-related illness.
