Director Suni’s next film is slated to take off around
Sankranti in 2018. Titled Bazaar, this film will see him launch a new face — Dhanveer Gowda.
Suni, who has worked with many newcomers, right from his debut that featured
Rakshit Shetty to
Praveen Tej and Rishi later on, is said to be excited, as this film will not be the conventional love story but also will revolve around gambling on pigeon races in Bengaluru and Mysuru.
Actor Shivadhwaj takes on the role of executive producer for this film and he reveals, “This film has a sweet love story, but the major focus is the pigeon races and the gambling that surrounds this pastime. This used to be a big deal back in the days and it still sees a following in Bengaluru and Mysuru. We saw films like Maari that did touch the subject, but this film will revolve completely around it till the climax.” The film will have
Ravi Basrur scoring the music, while Santhosh Rai Pathaje will helm the camera.
