The makers of Badava Rascal released the much-awaited trailer at a city multiplex as a run-up to the actual release on Christmas day. The film has become popular even before its release, and is being called the common man's film since fans have been planning unique promotional activities.

Shankar said the film was a simple story with a few complex and universal truths presented in a commercial manner. They also hinted about the release of a third song, a completely massy track that is contrary to the melodies released thus far.
