Tulu actor Sonal is Pratham’s leading lady in his next, MLA

By her own admission, Tulu actress Sonal Monteiro had never thought she’d go beyond doing Tulu films. Which is why she was rather surprised when she began to get offers from Sandalwood. “And out of the four films I’ve signed, MLA is by far the biggest owing to its banner and the lead hero Pratham of Bigg Boss fame,” says Sonal.

“I play the daughter of a

chief minister

in the film and we were indeed lucky that CM Siddaramaiah sir graced the muhurat of our film on Friday,” she gushes. As for how she landed the film, Sonal shares that the director of the film, Manju Maurya, was involved in the making of her hit Tulu film, Ekka Sakha. “He had told me then that when he made his next film, I’d be the heroine. I’m glad he kept his promise,” sums up Sonal.
