Lokanath

passed away on Monday, aged 91, after suffering cardiac arrest in Bengaluru. The actor was known for his characters in the ‘uncle’ role in Kannada movies. The actor took his last breath today at 12.15 am.

from 12 noon to 2.30 pm today for fans and followers to pay their respect. The funeral will be held at 4 pm today at Banashankari crematorium.

Lokanath, who always impressed with his acting performance, had become famous through dramas and is a well-known theater artist. His experience in the drama has made him act in more than 650 films, serials, and plays, spanning six decades in the industry.

The veteran actor is an engineering graduate and entered the film industry because of Kailasam. He made his debut in the movie ‘Samskara’ in the 1970s. which went on to win a National Award. The actor also played a major role in the movie ‘Accident’ directed by Shankar Nag.
