Vidyullekha forays into Kannada films

Noted Tamil and Telugu comedienne Vidyullekha Raman is excited that she is making her foray into

Kannada

films. The actress had debuted in Sandalwood earlier this year with Nikhil Kumar's

Jaguar

, for which she had even dubbed herself. She will next be seen in a prominent role in Dayal Padmanabhan's

Satya Harishchandra

, which stars Sharan and Bhavana in lead roles. 'I play a village belle, who is the daughter of the village head and I'm seen throughout with Sharan. In fact, this is an outrightly hilarious character and I even get my own song. I am glad that I got to act in my second Kannada film soon after my debut,' says the actress. Ask her if she will focus on more Kannada films and she immediately responds, 'I definitely want to tap the market and do more films. In fact, if you take note of the industries across all four South Indian states, there is no female comedienne in my age group. I hope to break into that and do more roles.
