Vijay’s wife Spandana passes away due to cardiac arrest, at 38

Actor Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana Vijay Raghavendra, died of cardiac arrest on August 7. She was 38 years of age was born in 1986. Her untimely demise marks yet another incident of death due to heart attack among people around 40 years of age. Incidentally, this is the second death in the family, following Vijay’s cousin, late Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar in October 2021.

On August 6, Spandana was on a vacation in Bangkok when she is said to have experienced discomfort in breathing, after which she was admitted at a local hospital. She succumbed to the attack early on Monday morning.
Spandana had ventured into acting with a cameo in actor Ravichandran’s film Apoorva in 2017. She is the daughter of former police officer Shivaram. Spandana and Vijay were to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary this month. The couple have a son named Shourya.

According to the family, “Spandana’s mortal remains will be flown back to Bengaluru on August 8."

Actor Sriimurali, Vijay’s brother, says:
“Spandana was on a trip with her cousins. Vijay joined them after wrapping up his shoot in Bengaluru. She went to sleep and did not wake up, is what Vijay told me. We are suspecting it could be because of low blood pressure.”
