Yash says Geetu Mohandas added 'refreshing' emotional layers to 'Toxic'; Actor praises film’s strong women characters

'KGF' star Yash has spoken about the emotional depth and intense storytelling in his upcoming film 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups'.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is expected to blend large-scale gangster drama with emotionally intense storytelling.The actor recently discussed the film during an interaction with Variety. He explained how collaborating with a woman filmmaker brought a completely different perspective to the project.According to Yash, Geetu Mohandas approached emotions, relationships and conflicts in a more layered and nuanced manner.Yash suggested that the emotional aspects of the story may become one of its biggest strengths.While speaking about Geetu Mohandas’ filmmaking approach, Yash explained that women often observe situations and emotions differently. He said this perspective added freshness and depth to the narrative.“We see life differently. There is always a different point of view when women look at things. We miss out on a lot of emotions or a lot of things. Maybe what matters to us may not be what they focus on in a situation. So that perspective becomes so refreshing, layered and deep,” Yash said.According to the actor, this approach changed the emotional texture of several scenes in the film. He hinted that the movie will not rely only on commercial spectacle or action-heavy moments. Instead, the narrative is expected to focus equally on human emotions, relationships and personal conflicts.'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' is expected to present a darker and morally complex world filled with emotionally damaged characters and intense situations.Yash also highlighted the importance of female characters in the film. According to him, the women in Toxic are not written as passive supporting figures around the male lead.“There’s a different set of politics, a different kind of violence involved with every human being,” Yash explained, adding that the film features “really badass women who have taken responsibility for their lives and survive in any situation.”'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' features a major ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash.
