Yash unleashes first look of 'Toxic' on his birthday; shares glimpses of the retro mafia drama

Rocking Star Yash is making his comeback on the silver with his upcoming film mafia action drama film 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups'. Today on his 39th birthday the Kannada superstar shared a birthday peak in a bold retro look.

In the teaser, which lasts 59 seconds, Yash is seen stepping out of a vintage car dressed in a sharp white suit and fedora, with aura and style. His entrance into a lavish club, cigar in hand, sets the tone for what promises to be an extravagant cinematic experience. Yash has a commanding presence, drawing all eyes in the room to him. The teaser encapsulates a mix of elegance and intensity.

Alongside the teaser, Yash shared a poster on social media with the word "UNLEASHED" prominently displayed, hinting at the film's themes of liberation and adventure. Director Geetu Mohandas described 'Toxic' as a story that challenges conventions and provokes deep emotions with in its audience.

Though the specific plot details remain under wraps, 'Toxic' is said to explore the dark and complex world of the drug mafia based in Goa and is set against a backdrop that spans from the 1950s to the 1970s.


Speaking of the rest of the cast members, the movie boasts heavily female stars, including Kiara Advani playing Yash's love interest in the film. Nayanthara aka The Lady Superstar portrays Yash's sister, bringing her strong screen presence to the film. Initially, Kareena Kapoor Khan was considered for this role but had to step down due to scheduling conflicts. Huma Qureshi takes on the role of the main antagonist. Further Tara Sutaria is also expected to join the cast.

Recently, Akshay Oberoi has been confirmed as part of the cast.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, although there are speculations about a potential delay in its release. The pan-India film will be released across multiple languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
