AR Rahman has street in Canada named after him

It isn't unusual for Indian celebrities to have landmarks in their homeland named after them. However, Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning music composer took things to a new level when he revealed that there was a street in Canada named after him.
Rahman -- who has composed the music for the Upendra-starrer Godfather -- recently tweeted a picture of himself holding up a sign that read 'Allah-Rakha Rahman St' and added the description, "Welcome to my street! (In Markham, ON, Canada)".
Rahman, who gained international acclaim after he composed the Oscar-winning soundtrack to the Danny Boyle-directed Slumdog Millionaire, was in Toronto, Canada to attend an event to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema.
