SD Arvinda recreates national anthem in a new music video

Marking India’s 73rd Independence Day, filmmaker and music director SD Aravinda has come up with a new music video that will take you back to your childhood days. It’s a recreation of the National Anthem, featuring children. “We are taught the National Anthem when we are in school, and we are taught to sing it with pride. So, I thought the most appropriate way to recreate it, is with kids,” he says, adding that when youngsters sing the National Anthem, it gives you a different feeling altogether.
“There are already plenty of videos out there featuring celebrities and singers. So, I decided to work on one with kids in it,” Aravinda explains. The new video features Vandana, Ninaad, Lahari, Harsha, Riya and

. They are the students of Hindustani singer Sharan Chaudhary. In addition to this, the director has also released a contemporary version of Vande Maataram, which will see him behind the mic. “It’s a new tune, to which I have given my voice. It has a very upbeat and contemporary feel to it,” he sums up.
