We were so happy to see the crowd enjoying our show, despite the rain: Enigma
By Karthikeyan Sairam
Enigma’s first performance in India was in Bengaluru, and despite the rain and slush, fans of the band stayed put at their spot to enjoy the German band’s music. After their concert at Jayamahal Palace, Bangalore Times caught up with them for a quick chat. Read on:
Andru Donalds, the singer, spoke about the similarities of the crowd in India, and from Jamaica, his homeland. “It’s our first time here, but I feel like there are a lot of similarities to the audiences back home, in Jamaica. When you’re live, you have to gauge the audience; if the show is good, they will enjoy it, if not, you will know it,” he says, and adds, “Despite the rain, the audience stayed back and I truly appreciate them. I thought they would leave, but they stayed on with their umbrellas, and it was great!”
Fox Lima, also a singer with Enigma, shared her experience, adding that she was surprised people knew the songs and even sang along. “The crowd was engaging with us, and I was happy and surprised they knew the songs. It’s definitely a good sign,” she shares. Fox, who is Latvian, said that she also shares similarities with the Indian language, which made her feel closer to the crowd.
