A hilarious Kannada adaptation of The Comedy of Errors

Bengaluru's VASP Theatre presents NeeNaaNaaDre NaaNeeNeNaa (If I were you, are you me), a hilarious Kannada adaptation of Shakespeare`s famous 'The Comedy of Errors'. The play, which lasts for over two hours is written by S Surendranath and directed by Vinay Shastry.

One of Shakespeare's early plays, the play is one of his most farcical comedies. It has been adapted for opera, stage, screen and musical theatre numerous times worldwide.The play revolves around two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated during their birth. They meet in the same city after many years. What happens next is the crux of the story. As for this adaptation of The Comedy of Errors, the play is not set in the Greek city of Ephesus but in Malleshwaram. And the protagonist is not Shakespeare but its Suri!
