A new
play
in the city strives to raise awareness about mental health. Presented by Crea-Shakthi,
Kirukku Nagaram is a musical anthology – a satire on society’s regressive approach to mental illnesses. It is the first-of-its-kind show to discuss mental health in the way it does.
Once you hop on at the platform of change into the compartment of mental health awareness, it takes you through the stations of support systems, past the fields of coping mechanisms, to the town that gets its name – Kirukku Nagaram – from society’s labelling and stigma.
