Kalavilasi Bengaluru to replay writer Beechi’s life

Kannada writer Beechi (Rayasam Bheemasena Rao) chose Ironic comedy to protest family and society problems, quoting Oscar Wilde's famous saying, "If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh. otherwise they will kill you".


At the age of 60, he wrote his autobiography ‘Nanna Bhayagraphy’ - My Scary Life). He says I am scared of who I am – a reflection of the the honesty in reviewing the self. The work honestly records the best experiences of his life and those that played important roles in his life.


Manasa Putra is a collection of a few of such experiences - one that gives insight in to the life of Beechi beyond common knowledge. Kalavilasi Bengaluru, an art group formed by young experienced theater and digital entertainment artists, will perform Manasa Putra at Kalagrama Auditorium, Mallathahalli from 7PM to 8.30PM on 11 June, Sunday. Ticket price is Rs 150/- per person.
