'Hridayapoorvam' box office collection Day 10: Mohanlal's family entertainer mints Rs 3.40 crore

Mohanlal's newly released family entertainer 'Hridayapoorvam' is still finding love from the audiences in spite of stiff competition with the fantasy spectacle 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra'. According to early trade estimates, the film earned around Rs 3.40 crore on its second Saturday (Day 10).

Prior to this, the film earned an estimated Rs 2.70 crore on its second Friday. With Saturday's collections reaching Rs 3.40 crore, this indicates positive word-of-mouth and a good audience connection.

The film's total earnings are now estimated to be around Rs 26.10 crore.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, 'Hridayapoorvam' opened decently with the family audiences. In its opening week, the film earned a good Rs 20 crore.

Theatre occupancy

As reported in trade reports, the film had an overall 78.58% occupancy on Saturday, across Malayalam theatres, with evening and night shows almost housefull, at 89.98% and 90.36%, respectively.

Plot of the film

The film's plot centres on Sandeep Balakrishnan, played by Mohanlal, a good-natured recluse hotel owner who is recovering from an open-heart transplant. He received the heart belonging to Colonel Ravindranath and has been invited to Pune to attend the engagement of Haritha, the donor's daughter.

The film features Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita Madhavan Nair, and Siddique. Most of the cast have received critical acclaim for their performances. Additionally, the film's music is provided by Justin Prabhakaran, and it is shot by Anu Moothedath. Meanwhile, Mohanlal's previous outing was 'Thudarum'.
