Even with mediocre reviews Prithviraj Sukumaran - Shaji Kailas’ action entertainer ‘Kaapa’ seems to be holding well at the Kerala box office as it has reportedly minted Rs 11.61 crores within 12 days of its initial release.
Prithviraj Sukumaran - Asif Ali starrer ‘Kaapa’ hit the big screens on December 22 and according to the Twitter forums that track box office collections, the film has minted Rs 11.61 crores in 12 days. Reports also say that the film has minted Rs 16.11 crores worldwide.
As the film is getting good reports from the audience, it can be expected that the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer will be earning much more numbers at the box office.
Helmed by the director Shaji Kailas, ‘Kaapa’ is touted to be an action thriller and the script is penned by the writer GR Indugopan. The film explored the dark underbelly of Thiruvananthapuram. Prithviraj Sukumaran played the lead character named Kotta Madhu and Asif Ali essayed the character Anand.
Dawn Vincent was roped in as the music composer of the film and Jomon T John cranked the lens. Shameer Muhammed did the cuts of this action entertainer.
Apart from Prithviraj Sukumaran, ‘Kaapa’ also featured the actors Asif Ali, Anna Ben, Dileesh Pothan, Jagadish, and Aparna Balamurali in significant roles.
Meanwhile, Shaji Kailas’ previous outing was with the action entertainer ‘Kaduva’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead and the film turned out to be one of the most profitable ventures in Mollywood for the year 2022. Shaji Kailas’ next outing is with the Mohanlal starrer ‘Alone’.
