‘Romancham’ box office collection day 3: Soubin Shahir’s horror comedy film mints Rs 3.11 crores

‘Romancham; has indeed become the surprise hit for this year as the horror comedy movie is getting good responses from all over and is doing wonders at the Kerala box office. Reportedly, the movie grossed over Rs 3.11 crores in three days.

Soubin Shahir’s horror comedy film ‘Romancham’ hit the big screens on February 3rd this year and according to the Twitter forums that track the box office collection figures, the movie has minted Rs 3.11 crores in three days.


Reportedly, the movie collected more than Rs 1 crore in two days. Considering the budget for ‘Romancham’, the figures that the movie is collecting now are surprising and a good start to the Mollywood film industry.

Written and directed by the debutant Jithu Madhavan, the story of ‘Romancham’ revolves around the life of 7 bachelors living in Bangalore and things turn out to be bad when they start playing Ouija board. The story is set in the year 2007.

Sushin Shyam’s background score is said to be one of the main highlights of the film and the editing by Kiran Das is also on point. Sanu Thahir cranked the lens for the film, whereas the costume design was by Mashar Hamsa.

Apart from Soubin Shahir, ‘Romancham’ also featured the actors Arjun Ashokan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sajin Gopu, Jagadeesh Kumar, and several others in significant roles.
