For the unversed, actor Dileep’s real name is Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai. Dileep is his screen name. But did you know that the actor changed his screen name from the 1994 release ‘Manathe Kottaram’? Yes, that’s right. ‘Manathe Kottaram’ movie was Dileep’s first hit movie and he played the character named Dileep. As the movie was his lucky mascot, the actor decided to change his screen name to Dileep.
Meanwhile, ‘Manathe Kottaram’ was directed by Sunil. Actors Dileep, Nadirsha, Harisree Ashokan, Indrans essayed the lead characters in the movie. The movie is about four young men, who are huge admirers of actress Khushboo. The four meeting the actress and a series of events taking place form the crux of the movie.
