while choosing films. In her career spanning over 15 years, Nithya has proved her acting chops in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and recently Hindi movie industries.

But did you know that Nithya Menen never aspired to become an actor? Yes, that’s true! Nithya Menen wanted to become a

journalist

, as she was an idealist. Nithya Menen has once shared with us that she wanted to pursue as she was an idealist. She enrolled in college to earn a degree in journalism, however, in the second year in college, she realized that in real life, things don’t work the way you expect them to. And hence she thought cinema would be a better way to express her ideas. She marked her debut in showbiz while she was eight years old and somewhere she always had a love for cinema.

Later Nithya Menen enrolled in a cinematography course at FTII, Pune. She was destined for films and ultimately reached there. But if not an actor Nithya Menen would have undoubtedly become a journalist.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nithya's next film in Mokkywood is ‘19 (1) (a)’. She is starring alongside Vijay Sethupathi in the film.
