Isha gets to showcase dance moves in Telugu

Before she stepped into filmdom, Isha Talwar was a professional dancer and had worked with quite a few renowned choreographers of the country.

However, she hardly got a chance to showcase her dance moves in any of her films, except for a short salsa sequence in Bangalore Days.

Isha, who is currently shooting for her Telugu movie Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, is happy that she finally gets to sway in style for a “mass number”, through the Tollywood film.

Isha says, “Finally, I get to do a dance number in a film. I can’t control my excitement as I will also get to work with some wonderful choreographers for the song.” She describes her character in the film as a “good mix of style and substance.” Isha adds, “She is named Chaithra, and can’t be termed as an entirely traditional or modern character. There are hues of both in her.” The actress is currently shooting in Hyderabad for the movie, which has Nara Rohit as the male protagonist.
Interestingly, the film’s director Pradeep Varahi felt Isha would be the ideal choice for the movie after watching her debut flick in Malayalam,

! Says Pradeep, “In my film, different shades are given to her character, for instance, one as a religious, regular church-goer in the flashback and another as a stylish software professional. When I watched her first Malayalam film, I felt she would be apt for the character.” Nara Rohit plays an upcoming director named Raja Ram in the movie, which is an action thriller. Meanwhile, Isha is midway through the shoot of the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Naale, directed by Siju S Bava. The film’s shoot is rumoured to have hit a roadblock but the actress says she is not aware what exactly the issue is. “I don’t want to comment on it, and also don’t know when the shoot will resume, but hope it happens soon,” says Isha.
