A tribute to a young movie enthusiast

, the film is the fulfilment of a dream of his late son, Dani John, who lost his life in an accident in 2010. The youngster was a movie enthusiast and wished for a career as a playback singer.

A novice in the field, Johny was hesitant to take on the major task of film production, but was encouraged by scriptwriter

John Paul

, and was confident that the venture would be a success as it was helmed by Kamal. The movie is conceived as a musical and will be a family entertainer. Set in Lakshadweep, the beauty of the island is captured by a talented crew, with some first-of-its-kind underwater shots in Malayalam cinema. Vinayakan plays a shark hunter, while Riddhi Kapoor and Ajmal are the lead pair.

Shaan Rahman has composed the music to the lyrics of Rafeeq Ahmed and B K Hari Narayanan. Santhosh Raman is the production designer, Vishnu Panicker is the DoP, action is by Silva and Dhanya Balakrishnan has done costumes. The film has already stood out for printing its hoardings in cloth, as an eco-friendly venture.
Scheduled to release on October 4, Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal is presented by Dani Productions, under the banner Frames Inevitable.
