Aabhasam movie review highlights: A political satire that centres on a bus journey
The film is directed by Jubith Namradath
Jubith Namradath's first film Aabhasam is like no other film of the recent times, at least going by the first half of the film, which extends to 2 hours 1 minute. The story kicks off at Democracy Travels, which runs a handful of buses, Gandhi, Jinnah, Ambedkar and the like to Kerala, from Bengaluru. Through the journey, the story explores a gamut of contemporary political and social issues ranging from beef politics to right to public display of affection. There are quite a few tongue-in-cheek one liners, but the ride is not all that cheery.Rima Kallingal, Sheetal Shyam, Nirmal Palazhy, Alencier, Suraj Venjaramoodu... all of them are part of this experimental journey. Will it end well?
