Actress Charmila alleges director Hariharan made inappropriate demands for "Adjustments," accuses 28 others of abuse

As the Malayalam film industry faces a wave of sexual misconduct allegations, the popular actress Charmila has come forward with serious accusations against several prominent figures.

Known for her roles in several classic Malayalam films, Charmila has alleged that a well-known producer and his friends attempted to rape her.



According to Mathrubhumi News, Charmila has accused 28 individuals, including major actors, of abuse. In her shocking claims, she also alleges that renowned director Hariharan made inappropriate demands for "adjustments" from her, a term often used in the industry for sexual favors. She recalls being excluded from a film after refusing to comply with these demands. Specifically, Charmila has accused MP Mohan, the producer of the film ‘Arjunan Pillayum Anchu Makkalum’, of facilitating her exclusion.

According to Charmila, during the casting of the film ‘Parinayam’, Hariharan inquired with actor and her friend Vishnu about whether she would agree to these "adjustments." When Vishnu informed him that she would not, both he and Charmila were dropped from the project.

Actress Charmila also expressed that many of her friends in the industry have faced similar situations but chose not to name them, citing concerns for their privacy. She added that, due to her responsibilities as a mother, she is not planning to take any further legal action at this time or to disclose the names of the people she accused.
