Ahaana Krishna rewears her mom’s 25 years old salwar suit

In a world of fast fashion, and trendy outfits flying off the rack, raiding your mom’s closet and wearing one of her old salwar suits might seem odd. But not in Ahaana Krishna’s case. The gorgeous actress is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film ‘Adi’, and she wore one of her mom’s salwar for one of the occasions.
The beauty wore a blue salwar, which he mom wore around 25 years ago.The blue ensemble surely has an emotional value for the actress, and let’s not ignore the fact that it is also a step towards sustainable fashion.
Ahaana Krishna dropped the pictures on Instagram and said, “So on one of the days during the promotions of ADI, I wore my Mom’s Old Salwar! A Salwar that’s more than 25 years old ✨ In the 2nd image, you can see Mom wearing this Salwar along with a 2 year old Me ☺️ My Mum bought this Salwar many years ago from Muscat and it was stitched by a Pakistani Tailor. I’m sure the tailor surely wouldn’t have imagined his garment to travel this long a journey 🤍.”

On the work front, Ahaana Krishna is currently awaiting the release of ‘Adi’, in which she is essaying the lead role opposite Shine Tom Chacko. The film is slated for release on Vishu (Apr 14).
