and his pet dog Veeran hardly need an introduction. The ‘Pathinettam Padi’ actor is an animal lover and he often creates awareness about the need to be more compassionate towards animals. The young actor has now shared a couple of pictures of his pet dog
Thumbi
.
Akshay Radhakrishnan has spoken about his Thumbi in a long post and he also emphasized that people should
adopt
pets, instead of shopping for them.

“Thumbi She is playful, love to travel, brave, got some common sense when compared to some human beings, she could even read my emotions n feeling just by observing my body language, she is a lover of food and toy lover as well, she love to pamper small puppies and also love to get pampered. She can turn any aggressive dogs to her friends, she loves to play with kids but she don't love sharing her food with poombatta but can adjust with it, she is possessive, she is cute and a beautiful soul, moreover she is an adopted Indian Dog (Indian pariah) (sic),” he said in his post.
He further added, “If you are not a racist animal lover you could understand what I'm trying to tell you and take these notes if you believe in me.
1) Before training your pet you should train yourself to be a best pet parent, you should train yourself to observe and understand their character, their feelings, emotions, their psychology, what's going inside their head.
2) Then train them according to their character and what you have observed.
3) Train your pet not to become your slave but to be a best companion. Respect their freedom, choice, interest, and energy
4) You can do this only if you are a nice human being
Thank you ️ #adoptdontshop.”
On the work front, Akshay Radhakrishnan will be next seen in ‘Vellappam’.
