‘Anchakkallakokkan’ box office collections day 19: Chemban Vinod starrer collects only Rs 1 lakh

The Chemban Vinod Jose starrer 'Anchakkallakokkan,' though initially praised for its storytelling and execution, especially its gripping action sequences, seems to be losing steam at the box office, as per recent updates.

Despite positive reviews from audiences, the latest box office figures reveal a significant slowdown in collections. On its 19th day in theaters, the movie managed to garner only Rs 1 lakh in India.

According to the Sacnilk website, the total net collections in India now stand at Rs 2.67 crores, with the film grossing Rs 2.56 crores domestically and worldwide.

Directed by Ullas Chemban, 'Anchakkallakokkan' is set in the mid-1980s, just before the eighth Kerala Assembly elections, in a place called Kalahasti along the Kerala-Karnataka border.

The story unfolds with the murder of a wealthy landlord named Chaapra by an unidentified assailant, setting the stage for a gripping narrative.

While the film's cinematography by Armo and editing by Rohit VS Variyath have been praised, along with the contributions of Manikandan Ayyappa's music and Ranjith Kotheri's art direction, it seems these elements haven't been enough to sustain the movie's box office momentum.
