Aashiq Abu have also conveyed their appreciation of the move. "Privileged to be working alongside you! Will always be an honour to be of assistance!" wrote Prithviraj, while Aashiq Abu said that it was indeed the need of the hour.
The association has been headed by Anjali Menon,
Manju Warrier, Beena Paul, Rima Kallingal, Sajitha Madathil and and many others, and aims at ensuring the safety of women in cinema and equal participation in the industry's activities.
