Amid huge expectations, Anwar Rasheed’s directorial ‘Trance’ has hit the cinemas in Kerala today! The movie has begun its premiere shows and reviews are yet to arrive. Filmmaker and scenarist Anjali Menon is all excited about the movie for many reasons. As every other movie buff, Anjali Menon is pretty excited about the fact that the filmmaker Anwar Rasheed hasn’t given a full-length feature film in the past eight years. Taking to her social media handle, Anjali wrote, “Since Ustad Hotel in 2012, we have all been waiting for Anwar Rasheed’s next feature film with great eagerness. And finally, it reaches us today! Interestingly, Anjali Menon has earlier worked with Anwar Rasheed for ‘Ustad Hotel’. Anjali was the scenarist of the movie.

One of the most talented filmmakers in Mollywood, Anjali Menon is known for her movies ‘Bangalore Days’ and ‘Koode’. Both of Anjali’s movies have a lot of connections with the ‘Trance’ team, as she has presented Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim as an on-screen couple for the first time in her ‘Bangalore Days’. Also, it was Anjali who later relaunched Nazriya after the actress’ marriage.

Meanwhile, ‘Trance’ has hit the cinemas in Kerala today. Starring Fahadh Faasil, the movie is directed by Anwar Rasheed. Nazriya has been roped in as the female lead. Apart from them, the movie has a stellar cast of Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Dileesh Pothan, Sreenath Bhasi, Jinu Joseph and Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon portraying some of the pivotal characters. The technical crew includes cinematographer Amal Neerad, Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, musician Jackson Vijayan and production designer Ajayan Challissery among others.
