How Malayalam Cinema Quietly Dominated Indian Cinema in 2025
Check out the trailer here. ‘Anomie’ is written and directed by Riyas Marath, who has earlier co-written ‘Neeli and Diwanji Moola Grand Prix’. The film has Bhavana Menon in the lead role. Actors Shebin Benson, Vishnu Agasthya, Binu Pappu, Arjun Lal, and Drishya Regunath are also part of the cast.
Talking to Manorama Online earlier, Bhavana spoke about playing Zara Philip. “Zara is composed and bold on the outside, yet deeply emotional inside. I can relate to that. I’ve played many bold, talkative characters, but Zara offered a fresh challenge. The filmmakers were initially unsure whether I would be willing to take on this character because of my existing image, but I wanted to try something new. It’s boring to repeat the same kind of role. I’d even love to explore negative roles in the future,” she said. On the technical side, the film’s cinematography is done by Sujith Sarang, and Kiran Das is the editor. Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his work in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Animal’, is also part of the crew. The art department is handled by Arjun Jox.
