Anoop Menon is an investigator in upcoming suspense thriller '21 Grams’
The police uniform suits Anoop Menon quite well and he has played a variety of cop roles too in his career, including in Traffic, Vikramadityan and Ee Adutha Kaalathu.
The actor is all set to play a cop again in the upcoming investigation suspense thriller 21 Grams, directed by newbie filmmaker Bibin Krishna. The film has Leona Leshoy, Anu Mohan, Renji Panicker, Ranjith and Lena as part of the cast among others.
Bibin tells us, “The film unveils the story in the style of a whodunit, and Anoop Menon plays lead investigator named Nanda Kishore. He is a DySP of the Crime Branch. In terms of how different this role is as compared to his other police roles, Anoop won’t be appearing in police uniform much in the movie, though he is a cop. We wanted to give the film an investigative thriller flavor rather than a cop movie feel, that’s why it is fashioned thus.”
While a lot of Anoop Menon movies have a peppy, feel-good ambience, Bibin says this film doesn’t follow that route. “We follow a different pattern in 21 Grams. He is the lead investigator, but the story isn’t centred around him alone. Every actor has equal prominence in the story, regardless of their duration of appearance in the film. That’s why we have a lot of known faces as part of the cast,” the director, who has also scripted the film, explains.
Jithu Damodar handles the film’s cinematography and Appu N Bhattathiri does its editing. Deepak Dev is the music composer of the movie, which has songs penned by
