Anurag Kashyap talks about his Malayalam film, ‘Footage’ at special premiere: ‘It is a very difficult film to make’ - WATCH video

Manju Warrier starrer ‘Footage’, billed as first found footage film in Malayalam will release , is set to hit the big screens on Friday, August 23. The film directed by Saiju Sreedharan is presented by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

Anurag Kashyap recently watched the special premiere of the film and was blown away. He stated that the film is quite difficult to make and the whole team has taken a huge risk. “It's a very difficult film to make. It's not an easy film to make. Watching the film, it gets better with each viewing. It's a very difficult film to make. I just marvel at what they have done with the camera, the design, screenplay, sound design, background. It's not an easy film to make. It takes a lot of time and focus to make a film like this. So, nothing is…” he said.

When asked about the sound and art, he added, “Outstanding. It's brilliant. I'm still soaking in the film. And I love the risks everybody is taking. It's beautiful. This is a risk. ‘Footage’ also has actors Vishak Nair, Gayathri Ashok, and Seethal Thampi in the pivotal roles. The film is written by Shabna Mohammed, andSaiju Sreedharan. Shinoz is the director of photography. The production design is done by Appunni Sajan. The original motion picture soundtrack is done by Aswekeepsearching.
