Anurag Kashyap watches Joju George’s directorial debut ‘Pani’; calls it a ‘powerful thriller’

Joju George, best known for his work in Malayalam and Tamil movies, is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film ‘Pani’. The film, which also features Joju George in the lead role, is gearing up for release, and ace Bollywood filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap got to watch it. He was blown away by the film, and took to his social media handle to share the review.

In a note shared on Instagram, on Thursday (Oct 17), Anurag Kashyap said that the film is a ‘powerful thriller’. He also lauded Joju George for his debut in filmmaking.

The note reads, “Malayalam Cinema continues to shock and surprise and blow your mind. Saw this powerful thriller/drama film from @jojugeorgeactorofficial . Starring Joju George, the upcoming film also has actors Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, Junaiz VP , Seema, Sujith Shankar, Prashanth Alexander, Ranjith Velayudhan, Bobby Kurian, Rinosh George, Jayashanker and Abhaya Hiranmayi in supporting roles. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, in addition to Malayalam.


The trailer of the fim was launched recently, and it has managed to create a decent buzz amongst the movie buffs. The glimpse hinted that the film is a high octane action drama with intriguing moments. As the film also marks Joju’s maiden directorial, the anticipation surrounding it is huge.
