National award-winning actress Aparna Balamurali has penned a tribute remembering late filmmaker Siddique’s life and work. In a note shared on social media, Aparna Balamurali stated that Siddique was one of the kindest human beings. She also added that she would terribly miss him.
Aparna Balamurali also stated that his creations 'Godfather' and 'Vietnam Colony' among others are irreplaceable.
"An irreplaceable director. One of the most kindest human beings. You will be terribly missed sir. Thank you for all the laughter you gave us through your cinema. There is nothing that can replace Godfather or Vietnam colony or any of your works," Aparna Balamurali said.
She further added, "Thank you for making us believe in friendship with the legendary ‘Siddique-lal’ duo! You have been an incredible example to us. To friends who passionately talk about cinema and dream about making it together. Rest In Peace Sir ❤️ #Godfather."

Siddique's demise has left the entertainment industry devastated. The final rites were held at Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid, this evening.
Filmmaker Siddique is survived by his wife Sajitha and their three children Sumaya, Sara, and Sukoon.
Siddique began his journey as a mimicry artiste. He made his debut with the film ‘Pappan Priyapette Pappan’ released in 1986. He is best known for his films, 'In Harihar Nagar', 'Godfather', 'Vietnam Colony', 'Kabooliwala', ‘Hitler’, and ‘Bodyguard’ among others.
Siddique’s last film was 'Big Brother' starring Mohanlal which was released in 2020.
