​Arjun Das is the perfect cast for the feel-good movie that I’m writing: Midhun Manuel Thomas

Midhun Manuel Thomas, who began 2020 with his

hit film Anjaam Pathiraa

, has had a great year so far. His film’s rights were bought by a

Bollywood production house

and the writer – director also became a dad a few months ago. He had also recently announced his entry into Tamil film industry with Anwar Rasheed’s Kollywood directorial debut.



As for Anjaam Pathiraa’s remake, Midhun divulges it will only happen by next year end. "We have enough time to talk about it. The title and the names of the lead actor and director will be announced by the production house. When it is remade, they only take the story, so, it needs to be scripted based on the milieu and culture," he says.



Anwar Rasheed’s Tamil film that he is writing was to go on floors by this year end. "We had to postpone it due to Covid-19. It isn't a thriller, but a simple feel-good film. Its lead actor Arjun Das is the right artiste for the movie. The film is a role-oriented one and he has the necessary characteristics of the lead in its story," Midhun explains, adding that he will be taking the help of a person, who is well-versed in Tamil language, to write the script. "There will definitely be a creator-contributor for the movie. This would be, I guess, my next project that will go on floors post lockdown," he says.
